Summerfield
- 2005 I found this previously loved pony and her deep golden yellow body color reminded me of the sunflowers that I love so much. So, I decided to give her a new life as Summerfield - the Sunflower custom! She
has a tiny sunflower with two leaves marking her magnet hoof.

[click on picture for enlarged view] Summerfield's hair was custom dyed a radiant shade of deep orange gold. There isn't a pony in the world with hair like this! ^_^ The tinsel was left in place. Her hair was gently styled with a slight curl. |

Summerfield's textured symbols were painted free-hand on BOTH sides! No sketches or pre-drafting at all! I was aiming for a more "spontaneous" look. ^_^ They were given a glossy top coat, since I wanted to capture the depth of the wet paint! The leaves & stems were painted using "flat" paint for a delightful contrast. They're also sealed. |

Here's a picture of her display side symbol. Summerfield's symbols look nicer in real life. They feature golden yellows, tans, bright orange, a myriad of dark browns & shades of warm black. It's hard to capture the wonderful texture. The white area is glare from the lighting. |
