Solstice is a winter-themed pony with frosty feet! She was made from a 3rd generation pony and her base color is a natural teal blue. Since she is already looking up, I gave her something to gaze at - a little snowflake made of silvertone wire and Swarovski crystals!

She wears a hand-knit little scarf made of teal blue ribbon yarn and white eyelash yarn.

[Click on picture for enlarged view - warning - huge file!] Solstice was completely re-rooted in a blend of Kanekalon hair. The blend was made from blonde, with a touch of yellow and white. She has two pigtails in her mane and more braids in her tail! Her symbols are actually on both sides, like the original ponies. They are a grove of snow-covered trees and falling snow!
[box picture removed due to legal concerns] Solstice comes packaged in a box with a custom printed front panel. The top ribbon was also replaced with a fancy white colored ribbon. The box reads: Solstice winter pony by aikarin. Her accessories include a matching blue comb, her fuzzy scarf, and snowflake made of Swarovski crystals! Solstice was named by my big sister Beth, when she was visiting here during the Thanksgiving holiday. ^_^ The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year.
Solstice's most distinctive features are her snow-covered feet and ears! I had a lot of fun making the snow, which is a thick blend of iridescent glitters and tiny glass micro beads. The picture doesn't not even capture the super sparkle that she radiates! It's also surprisingly durable...I've moved her around a bit to braid the hair and all of it has stayed intact. Solstice is an original Aikarin design - she will not be repeated. She is signed & dated under one hoof. She is NOT FOR SALE.
