Holiday Pop - 2008 Custom by Aikarin Holiday Pop is a custom pony with a whimsical, retro-inspired design. Symbols are lollipop "trees", snowflakes, and small white birds. I've wanted to make a custom like this for a long time. She turned out better than I expected! Base pony is a medium orange sparkly color.
[click on picture for enlarged view] Holiday Pop was re-rooted with 5 different colors of nylon hair: water nixie (aqua blue), cherry pie (deep, deep red), golden delicious (light yellow), envy (saturated medium green), and satsuma (vibrant orange). The stripes were not pre-planned, so they vary slightly in width. Upon closer inspection, she has a horizontal cut on the back on her left ear. It's very thin, covered by hair, and not visible on display. I'm not sure how it got there...perhaps while trying to remove the hair? I mention this to be thorough. Her hair was given a little curl at the ends. Tail contains the same vibrant colors as her mane.

She has blue and white striped eyes and black lashes. Her forehead is marked with some black "snowflakes". Eyes were given a glossy top coat to give them more depth.
[click on picture for enlarged view - warning - huge file!] Holiday Pop's adorable symbols took quite a long time to paint. They are purposely "rustic" and painted entirely freehand. I did not touch up or paint over any mistakes. Well, except for one smudged area that I touched before it dried. ^_^ Symbols were given a light matte coating to protect them.
[click on picture for enlarged view]	Holiday Pop is an older G3 pony, so she does have a hoof magnet. A multi-colored heart marks this hoof. She looks much nicer in real-life, where you can see how vibrant her colors are and how shiny her hair is!
