Hallow - 2008
Custom by Aikarin
Hallow, named for the holiday Halloween and also a play on words for the
tree "hollow" in her design. She was made from a G3
Alphabittle and her base color is a medium pearly yellow. Her symbol
was sculpted entirely freehand over a wire anchor. It's made of
two-part epoxy. Sculpting was quick, but the painting took forever!

Hallow's tree was painted with
many layers of brown, tan, and black to give it more depth. The
whimsical looking hollow hides a tiny snowy owl, also sculpted from scratch
without molds. Painting the owl was a challenge, since it's so
tiny. The owl's feathers are white and grey and the eyes are golden
with black outlines. The tree branches wrap around to the top of her
back.

Hallow's eyes are a golden sunburst over
a black background. Her eyeshadow is a sunset gradient of yellow to
pearlescent orange. Lashes are black.
She was re-rooted with a semi-random light/dark/light/dark pattern.
Seven different colors of saran hair make up this design. Bright
orange, muted orange-brown, mocha brown, dark brown, black, golden yellow,
pale yellow. I added extra plugs of hair to the gaps between the
original mane colors, so the mane is very thick. The hair is even more
lustrous and beautiful in real life!

Hallow is an older G3
pony, so she does have a hoof magnet. The magnet hoof is marked with a
twisted heart of gold on an orange background. The heart is outlined
with black "thorns".
Hallow is a CUSTOM
PONY, not affiliated with Hasbro, and this design will not be
repeated. She is signed and dated under one hoof. She
comes with a yellow brush and ribbon.
