Pattern Notes:
Just a stockinette tube knit in the round to a whopping 8' 8"!
Not exactly sure of the number of stitches casted on...will have to dig
the FO out of storage one of these days.
Tassels:
12 tassels per end, 6 on each side, for a total of 24 tassels on the
scarf. Each tassel is made of 3 strands of yarn, cut into 28"
sections and folded in half. I made them on my niddy-noddy and used a
crochet hook to attach them. The part closest to the scarf is braided,
followed by a knot, a short unbraided section, and another knot. The ends
were unraveled for a frizzy appearance. Whew!
Comments:
It wraps around my neck & hangs just a little below my knees (not
including the tassels). It's a tiny bit stiff & dense, since cotton
yarn doesn't have much "spring" to it. 100% wool would have been
another option, but harder to dye. Yes, it did take a long time to
knit. Machine knitting with a ribber would be a good idea.
