Cabled Ski Hat
Finished February 2006

Yarn: Lion Brand Microspun, 100% microfiber acrylic in Ebony.  It required a little less than one skein.

Pattern:
HeadHugger's Cable Knit Cap Pattern

Needles: 
two circular needles, size 7

Other tools: cable needle (or use needle-less cabling method)

Gauge: whatever the pattern recommended

Finished object: measures approx 4" x 58"

Pattern Notes & comments :
I followed the instructions almost exactly. 88 stitches might be a tad small, since the yarn I'm using is finer than the yarn they used. A friend asked me to knit one for her mom in white. I'm going to make this one about 1" longer, so she can pull it over her ears or roll up the brim.
The yarn is super soft, but it is "splitty", meaning the strands often separate from each other.
